All our dreams come true

October 2016, Bus Projects, Melbourne
Created and performed with Deanne Butterworth

An exhibition of live performances, with components of the performance remaining in the gallery. Investigating how performance can materialise as predicted, expected or hoped - fulfilled or unfulfilled with the help of an audience.

Replacing familiar performance preparation and execution with new parameters, this live exhibition is an extension of Jo and Deanne's previous work, Project Blah Blah (Hong Kong 2011). All Our Dreams Come True examines two bodies and the space they inhabit, always together and separate. A driving premise for the work; I am not you, you are not me, revealed live proposals and negotiations between both performers and the audience/ the viewer. Through observation, what knowledge is exchanged? How does one affect the other and the affect this has on those watching?
